Why is HR the most hated department in an organization?

HR Generalists in an accounting firm have no clue about the basics of accounting but they are somehow capable of being an orbiter in deciding who moves forward in the interview process.

They really don’t do anything. Their primary tasks are scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and then playing spinny chairs for the remaining 7.5 hours of the day. They have no idea how to perform the position they interview people for. Take an accounting position, the HR Generalists in an accounting firm have no clue about the basics of accounting but they are somehow capable of being an orbiter in deciding who moves forward in the interview process. They don’t even ask questions regarding accounting, they make their hiring decisions based on BS personality test questions found on Buzzfeed. They are the most completely useless individuals in any profession and they would be slinging coffee for a living if it wasn’t for the safety net of this job. Their overinflated salary harms everyone else as well by artificially increasing the average salary of this country causing greater increases in inflation.
