I know the answer for the speed of mosquito if the observer if watching outside the train, so I conveyed that if the observer is outside the train the speed of the mosquito is equal to speed of train +speed of mosquito.
In a recent interview I was asked to rank my skillset on a scale of 1-10. In an attempt to not sound pompous, I gave 8s where I feel I could have said 10. Could this have been detrimental? What is the right way to respond?

I decided to tell the truth that I took some time out to figure out my future & once I decided to pursue MBA I prepared for CAT & devoted all my attention to this single goal.
I hope a few years down the lane, I achieve a decent position in the company and my colleagues respect me and look upon me.
One year is way enough to prepare for a software interview as long as you spend enough time everyday.

I had a few steady jobs… and many of day work, part times, and gig works. along with helping out my elderly neighbors, community service, and voluntary work. including with yard sales, flea markets, and metal scrap recycling, plasma donating, and pawning. ( basically a blue collar worker. )
