Does year-gap in education affect job interviews?

I think that should be good enough for the company to recruit you. However, if you say you vegetated at home and did nothing but watch TV for 2 yrs, that may not be a good enough reason.

I am assuming you are in India - you will certainly be questioned regarding the reason for your gap. As long as you can give a satisfactory answer for that (e.g. preparing for certain entrance exams to meet some targets), I think that should be good enough for the company to recruit you. However, if you say you vegetated at home and did nothing but watch TV for 2 yrs, that may not be a good enough reason.

I'd suggest you be honest with yourself and with the company regarding your reason for the gap years and be prepared with an answer to "Why do you have so many years of gap during your education?" before your interview and you should be ok.
