What are the reasons for rejection in HR interviews?

I walked all the way from cyber city magarpatta to Koregaon park where my friends were residing. The longest and lonelinest walk of my life where I just wanted to run away from rest of the world. I kept walking for an hour when a friend came looking for me. When I reached, nobody said a word.

It was 6:30 pm. I was confident that it all went well and now this offer would change my life forever.

10 minutes later, I was out there sitting on the stand benches of cyber city, pune. ‘Everything went so good, where did I fail?’ I kept asking it to myself as tears flooded from my eyes. I was all alone; sitting near the stand for nearly and hour crying my heart out, wishing if only there could be someway that I could go back and make it right. Surely it wasn't the first rejection I faced but the first one where I was pretty confident that I would nail it and that too, during the worst phases of my life. And it just got worse. “I got rejected mom”, the words escaped in a whisper. “It's okay beta, you tried your best. Don't worry, come home soon”

That day, I walked all the way from cyber city magarpatta to Koregaon park where my friends were residing. The longest and lonelinest walk of my life where I just wanted to run away from rest of the world. I kept walking for an hour when a friend came looking for me. When I reached, nobody said a word. I packed my things and told them I was leaving for home. A friend of mine came near me and said, 'hot astaye radha' (it happens to everyone). I hugged him and cried for several minutes. Nobody said a word. Then as I composed myself, they took my bag and locked it inside a room and then said, “we are going to party and you are not leaving anywhere today”

After several attempts of debating and failing, I gave up and they dragged me out.

Trust me, that was the best time I had with them. And that's when I realised; Life is too short to be holding on to rejections and everything else that lets us down instead of being happy.

So moral of the story? Talk about it, learn from it and let it go. What do you do when you fail? You try, reappear and then if you fail again, you try harder. Every no from something is a yes to something better!
