How do you give technical interview feedback to HR?

If you are interested on how does it happen technically. It depends though. If that’s some small company of 50 Engineers than it can be an email or even in person feedback summary.

While going through the interview with the candidate I have some sort of assumption and impression on the candidate’s abilities that I am aligning with my own experience, corporate requirements, understanding if I’d like to work with that person or not I sum up all this, write pretty long feedback (I do consider that as detailed as better) and send to the recruiter.

If that’s quite big corporation or even company 1000+ staff with an intensive candidate pipeline than most of the times them have some internal platforms where that’s possible to provide a feedback on the candidate in their hiring profile. Some of them even have a predefined feedback templates with the required skill set to check and give a feedback. A recruiter who takes care on the candidate takes a look along with an Engineering Manager and the second one makes a decision hire/no hire. Sometimes an interviewer can be reached out for the follow-up questions in case if a feedback is not precise or requires some deep analysis.
