What are the situational based questions that usually asked in interview?

this question has no specific correct answer. Hence, one of the answers can be, “Jump out of the blender”. It seems too weird but it can work.

Many companies do ask situational based questions in their interviews. I will like to present two of the questions here that were asked in Technical Giants’ selection process:

i) “You are shrunk to the height of a penny and thrown into a blender. Your mass is reduced so that your density is the same as usual. The blades start moving in sixty seconds. What do you do?”

By the way, this question has no specific correct answer. Hence, one of the answers can be, “Jump out of the blender”. It seems too weird but it can work. Let me tell you how. As your size is reduced , the energy produced by your body is also reduced by a constant factor say, ‘x’. However your mass is also reduced by the same factor, i.e., ‘x’, since your density is constant. Hence, the maximum height attained by you will remain constant. So, you may escape out of the blender by jumping out.

ii) “You and your neighbor are holding garage sales on the same day. Both of you plan to sell the exact same item. You plan to put your item on sale for £100. The neighbor has informed you that he’s going to put his sale for £40. The items are in identical condition. What do you do, assuming you’re not on especially friendly terms with your neighbor?”

Again, this question, has no specific correct answer. One of the strategies can be buy your neighbor’s items and sell them at your price. You will be earning great profits through it. Any other strategies can be discussed in the comments section.

Any suggestions to improve the answer are most welcome. You can write in the comments section or click here.
