What questions should be asked in a pre-placement talk?

As mentioned in previous answers also, these questions are a way to outperform yourself from others. So be honest with your questions and don’t try to be over smart. Those people have already experienced such situations and thus can judge you very easily.

  1. To whom your are asking questions to? : HR, Developer, Manager etc.
  2. Grab the opportunity by becoming the early bird.
  3. Don’t ask repetitive questions by modifying what someone else have already asked.
  4. Do pay attention towards what they are presenting, it can happen that they can ask questions to you regarding the same during your interview.

From my past technical interview experiences these are some of the questions to be asked:

  1. How do you offer mentor-ship to new joined developers?
  2. What is your current stack/In which technology or language you are currently working on?
  3. Do you offer remote working/flexible hours/ work from home options (beneficial for individuals with families)?
  4. Can you tell me a bit more about where the company is heading?
  5. Current financial growth of the company?
  6. Company’s business strategies with respect to the current trends (like: Machine learning, automation, robotics etc).
Note: Its better you do some pre-research on the company’s business and its subsidiaries.
  7. How the company ensures the overall development of an individual?
  8. What measures your company have taken to prevent the recent data leak or bug in any technology which the company is using?
  9. Are there any options that your company will send an individual to client locations?
  10. Are there fixed working hours, if yes, then what are those?
