What are the trickiest questions asked in an interview?

Suppose you are in a jungle and have a matchbox with just one matchstick in it. You have no fuel, no lantern, no torch, no stick, nothing. You confront a tiger.

One of my friends was asked this in an interview. Lets call him X.

Interviewer: So X, you have an average record in your resume. Let us test how smart you are.

X: (Feels nervous) Sure, Sir.

Interviewer: Suppose you are in a jungle and have a matchbox with just one matchstick in it. You have no fuel, no lantern, no torch, no stick, nothing. You confront a tiger. How will you get out without being hurt, assuming you have no escape route and clearly the tiger being faster than you.

X: (thinks for a while…) I will take out my shirt and use the matchstick to burn it. With that, I would scare the tiger.

Interviewer: How would you be sure your shirt will burn?

X: It is made of cotton. I always put extra deodorant spray. Since the spray will act as a catalyst, it will catch fire easily.

Interviewer(with a smile): Not bad.

Result: Selected.
